Tricia Gates Brown

I am an everyday theologian working as a writer/editor in Oregon's Willamette Valley. After completing an MA in theology then a PhD from the University of St. Andrews in 2000, I continued to pursue my studies—energetically self-educating in theology, spirituality, and the emotional life. I am also an Ordained Deacon in the Episcopal Diocese of Oregon, aspiring to do Spiritual Care (chaplaincy). My essays and poems have appeared in many venues including Oregon Humanities and Portland Magazine, and I write at ReligionMatters.Substack.com as "A religious doubter on why religion matters."
